Membership

The CCBCofTN is a local chapter of the statewide Tennessee Bluebird Society. Annual state dues are $5 per household; CCBCofTN does not collect any additional local dues.

CCBCofTN meets twice a year, in spring and fall, allowing members and guests to share bluebird experiences, learn practical tips, and review data collected during the nesting season. From the TBS, members receive a quarterly email newsletter with updates from all six chapters around the state, as well as an invitation to attend the annual statewide meeting.

Once your membership in the TBS is confirmed, you might also choose to join the North American Bluebird Society for an additional fee (first year discounted to $15 for first-time members). NABS members receive a full-color glossy magazine four times per year.

Lifetime members of CCBCofTN make a one-time payment of $150. Of this, $50 is forwarded to TBS to cover lifetime membership in the state organization. The remaining $100 stays with our local chapter to help defray the costs of building and maintaining nest boxes and predator guards along the county’s bluebird trails, as well as sustaining efforts to educate the public about the importance of conserving bluebirds and other native cavity nesting birds.
